Ingredients
(1)Rava - 5oo gms
(2)Water - 2
1/2 cups
(3)Onion - 2
(4)Green chillies - 5
(5)Ginger - 1inchpiece
(6)Grated Carrot - 1/2cup
(7)Cookingoil - 2 tbsp
(8)Salt - As required
(9)Curry Leaves - 2 or 3
(10)Red Chillies - 3 or 4
Method
Take a frying pan and roast the rava for 5 minutes stirring
continuously.Keep it aside.Then take some oil and pour in the frying pan.When
it becomes hot put mustard seeds and when it starts spluttering put red
chillies ,curry leaves and onion.When onion becomes light brown in colour put
ginger,grated carrot and salt.Stir it for 5 minutes.Then put 2 ½ cups of water
and when it comes to boil put the roasted rava into it .Stir with a spatula and
cover with a lid.Cook for five minutes.
A tasty upma will be ready within 15 minutes.This recipe
can be made for breakfast as well as dinner also.
